When do zack and kelly break up

The Jeff character was named after Sachs and his Brittany spaniel at the time, Hunter, a companion in the writers room. The moment came when the two were alone at the Max. And I think in a way, hearing the silence in that moment, you know, let us understand that like, you know, this audience was a little — there was some trepidation in what was going on there.

And maybe the second kiss became the moment where they're like, all right, well, maybe this will be good for Kelly. You know, when you were a teenager, you fell in love, that was the person you wanted, you know, and that was it. You couldn't think beyond that person. I think what we were doing was probably just trying to find a way for it to have its natural end.

That's not necessarily the foundation for a relationship, but it does demonstrate that Kelly could have warmed to the idea of them spending one-on-one time together as they got older. Despite Lisa constantly being the center of Screech's attention, she doesn't have nearly as many love interests in the series as her friends. It's not a stretch to think she and Kelly could have ended up together since Lisa's love interests always tend to be connected to her friends - like Jessie's stepbrother or Zack himself.

While Jessie and Kelly have academics and ambition in common, Lisa and Kelly share a lot of other interests. From singing to fashion to relaxing at the beach, the two relax and have fun in a lot of the same ways. While Lisa can be more shallow than her friends, Kelly tends to bring out her nicer side, just as she does with Zack. The two could have ended up as the most fashionable and sweetest couple to come out of Bayside High.

Though Slater and Jessie were one of the two on-again-off-again couples of Saved By The Bell , the two spent just as much time fighting with one another as they did flirting with one another. Having a third person in the relationship - one who brought out some of the best in both of them, might have worked in their favor.

Kelly is that person. Their shared history, interest in dance, and common friends would allow the trio a sturdy foundation for a relationship. Jessie, from a small affluent family, Kelly, from a large working-class family, and Slater, who moved around a lot growing up, would also all be different enough from one another that they could learn and grow from one another's experiences. Not many people meet the person they're going to spend their life within high school, though teen television would certainly have their audience think otherwise.

Kelly didn't have to end up in a relationship with anyone when the show - or the college year - was over. After two years of being friends and knowing that Zack has been interested in her, she opts to go to prom with him, and she's genuinely excited about getting to spend the evening with him. Kelly's dreams for a perfect prom are cut a little short when she finds out that her family doesn't have the extra money for her to buy things like a prom dress after her dad loses his job.

She decides to pitch in, giving her father the money reserved for her prom dress to help the family. Rather than let Kelly spend her prom night alone, Zack leaves the rest of their friends at the dance and hangs out outside the school with Kelly, setting them up a picnic.

They even get to have a few dances on their own. It's a sweet gesture since the dance was so important to her. Fans might have been excited for Zack and Kelly to get together, but the writers of the show threw a lot of wrenches into their relationship. One of those wrenches is Kelly's boss at The Max, Jeff. Jeff is older and her manager, but that doesn't stop Kelly from being interested in him after he hits on her. Instead of lying to Zack or seeing Jeff behind his back, Kelly does the mature thing and tells him the truth.

It hurts both of them, but it also shows that Kelly values their friendship even more than she values their romance, and doesn't want to lose Zack completely. Long before Kelly and Zack ever date, they're good friends. When Kelly needs someone to watch her little brother while she gets her cheerleading photos taken for the yearbook, she asks all of her friends for help.
