Why is monitor green




















Tested monitor on another computer that is known to be working itself and the monitor is fine on the other computer; as well as with its logo and menu system. Checked video card settings and installed a new video card. The computer did have a virus that I was able to remove this is a specialty of mine. The video was working fine after these viruses were removed. Then, the next day or two it began having a yellow-greenish tint to the screen. I have tried installing an update to the BIOS already.

What I found was, it happened to me when I inserted a new ram. Also, the fact is, I have a 4gb ddr3 mhz ram, and i installed a new 2gb ddr3 mhz ram from another manufacturer. When i remove the new 2gb ram, all works fine. If i insert the new 2gb ram, the windows logo in boot up turns green, loading turns green, also there is a green tint all over the windows. Is there any way to fix it, maybe demagnetize the screen? I have seen this happen to tv's, and it usually wears off after a period of time.

That can be one of several problems, including a bad picture tube, but it's most likely a bad solder connection. Most of the AST monitors were made by Acer , which was known for that problem with that vintage of monitor.

It will probably turns out that the board connector pins are poorly soldered to the printed circuit board. As the unit warms up, stuff expands and the connection "heals" temporarily. A few days ago, I restarted my computer and now I have a green tint color that completely covers any other color except black. I looked around on many forums and contacted technical support from my computers' manufacturer. I have tried many things; Turning off the pc and checking the hinges, screws and what not on the monitor, PC and the cable that connects the two.

I tested the monitor and the cable that came with the monitor on a different PC and it came out fine however, I tried a different monitor plus a different cable on my PC The green tint remained.

Also tried updating display drivers and the tech support told me to reinstall VGA drivers So, I've come for help to seek an answer because I've never had this problem on my old computer. Starkiss ,.
